Stefan Schicker advises clients especially in the areas of intellectual property and internet law.
Stefan Schicker was voted by Who‘s Who Legal 2009 as one of the 24 leading attorneys in Germany in the field of internet & e-commerce. Who’s Who Legal is the worldwide database of lawyers leading in their fields, supported by the International Bar Association (IBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA).
The intellectual property rights contain patents, trade marks, designs and utility models as well as the appurtenant copyright and unfair competition law. The predominant aspect is the developing and effective building of a portfolio of intellectual property rights. Another important aspect is the surveillance of the IP rights. In the case of infringements by third parties we provide support for the enforcement, letters before action, preliminary injunctions and main trials.
In the area of Internet law Stefan Schicker gives advice to online merchants and internet platforms in respect to the legally valid design of web sites and online-applications, the development of ePayment solutions and compliance in respect to data protection. Due to his practical experience with programming Internet platforms he has a solid understanding for the technical integration.
As the leader of the legal affairs group of the Federal Association of Service-Providers for Online-Merchants (BDOA e.V.) he has strong connections to the firms of this area and continuously develops new and practical solutions for complex problems. (Further information:http://www.ak-legal.de)
